Let's have a Ceilidh for the kids and oldies and a Disco for our mates.

Cautionary note: DON'T DO IT!!

In our experience events - especially weddings - do not run to time-table for lots of reasons. If your dance is the usual 8 til 12 duration and things do not run exactly to time, the ceilidh (which is usually first) may not start until 9 or later. Our latest start so far is 10pm when England's World Cup exit went to extra time and penalties, a rock band was booked from 10pm to midnight. How embarrassing is that and do you really want the hassle of sorting that lot out on your special day???

A really good ceilidh is a game of two halves. Part one the sober, brave or talented enjoy some floor space before being joined by the fortified in part two to swing the night away. The caller skillfully ratchets up the dances to suit the dancers and invariably they all call for more at the end of the evening.

But you can't get all of that into a couple of hours you need the whole evening, and believe me all ages will have a great time.

Now for the clincher - You only pay for one band. If a band or disco gives up their Saturday and that of their families for your dance they are not going to charge half price for half a night so YOU PAY TWICE for your four hour dance.

You know it makes sense - one or the other.

Thanks for logging on, now save us as a favourite and call back in a few weeks, you never know what you might find.

Hear the music and keep those feet a tapping.

Stay Cool & Keep Warm
